Webinar: “Plastics and Circular Economy: Regulation in times of Covid-19”
The International Development Bank (IDB) organized a webinar to address the regulation of plastics and circular economy in various countries in the Americas, focusing on the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The webinar took place on July 22, 2020 with the participation of Rafael Vergara and Julio Recordon from Carey, along with other international legal specialists.

Breakfast “Legal aspects and implementation of the Law on Extended Liability of the Producer”
Carey, along with the Sustainability Committee of the Chile Australia Chamber of Commerce (Auscham) organized a breakfast to discuss the legal aspects and implementation of the Law on Extended Liability of the Producer, with the participation of Alejandra Salas, Chief of the Waste and Environmental Risks Office of the Ministry of the Environment.

Breakfast “Legal aspects related to the new Law on Management of Waste, Extended Liability of the Producer and Promotion of Recycling (EPR Law)”
On June 15, 2016 a breakfast offered to Carey’s clients took place to have a conversation along with specialists from the Ministry of the Environment about the legal aspects related to the new Law on Management of Waste, Extended Liability of the Producer and Promotion of Recycling. David Bortnick, Chief of the Environmental Regulation Department and Lorna Püschel, attorney at the Environmental Regulation Department presented. Additionally, Rafael Vergara and Julio Recordon, lawyers at Carey, shared their analysis of the implications of the new law.
